I have written an article that I think your readers would be interested in seeing on your blog.

Did you know that in the last 100 years, our agricultural habits have left us with about a quarter of the crop diversity we once had?

I'm looking to promote that idea that by encouraging grocery shoppers to branch out from their usual selections and to join the local food movement, they can help to conserve this forgotten species, and create a more sustainable agricultural system.

Kori Bubnack
k.bubnack@gmail.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2308375110862977162.post-69770401443653725432011-01-29T10:14:15.962-08:002011-01-29T10:14:15.962-08:00we've had the same experience with snow this y...we've had the same experience with snow this year...not this much since i was a kid.

i've found this winter to be much more productive for me than last...i think the full spectrum lights have helped along with the nettles infusions i've been consuming on a regular basis. it feels good to have energy and inspiration and make full use of this 'down' time.tansyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03126378170210755616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2308375110862977162.post-43908662876779988312011-01-29T06:24:16.588-08:002011-01-29T06:24:16.588-08:00Lovely thoughts, Ananda. In many ways, so reflective of my own.

My husband doesn't understand my need of coming up with coping methods to deal with this inundation of whiteness. I'm thinking it's because the snow makes movement in and around my world so very difficult. And I am feeling just a bit trapped and resigned to only traveling in cleared paths and sidewalks. Maybe that's why the simple act of throwing on my snow pants and trudging through the backyard can feel so freeing.

I am thinking of walking in the woods today, finding a clean patch of snow for snow cream and contemplating my own inner blizzards.

Much love,
SusanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2308375110862977162.post-34399176875031051222011-01-28T14:42:42.371-08:002011-01-28T14:42:42.371-08:00yum! with maple too!yum! with maple too!Darcey Bluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14590696744520619452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2308375110862977162.post-55892940869936914722011-01-28T14:32:31.881-08:002011-01-28T14:32:31.881-08:00The oddest part of this is that here in Iowa we...The oddest part of this is that here in Iowa we've hardly any snow at all, this year. It is actually thawing a bit today. We've had some bitter cold though; enough to cause me to worry about my plants.

For the most part, I enjoy the winter when I am allowed to hibernate with my indoor projects that I never have enough time for the rest of the year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
